If you live in Los Angeles you’re going to want to check out Gallery 1988‘s upcoming THE 3G SHOW from September 3rd-22nd. Why? Aside from the fact that Gallery 1988 always has really awesome shows with really good artists (like the absurdly great I AM 8-BIT shows), the three “G”s of the show title are Gremlins, Goonies(!!!), and Ghostbusters.

/Film ran a preview today, that you need to check out. I’ve included a couple samples below.

"Cute, Cuddly, Scary, and Fun - Gremlins" by Brandon Schaefer

"I’m Taking Them All Back" by Peter Wonsowski

"Peter Venkman Woodie" by Xander Thurteen

"Coffee Break" by Pat Kinsella

For a taste of the kind of art you’ll find at Gallery 1988, here are some samples from their CRAZY 4 CULT 4 SHOW:

"Wonka" by Rich Pellegrino

"In Absentia" by Megan Kimber

"The Dude Abides" by N.C. Winters

Remember, you can always visit Gallery 1988 at 7020 Melrose Avenue/ Los Angeles, CA 90038 (find them in SF at 1173 Sutter Street/ San Francisco, CA 94109) or hit up their website to purchase originals or prints. Support your artists!

Dude that place seriously does have the best shows ever. I’ve wanted to get over there but rarely find myself near Melrose.

Nice post. I study one thing tougher on totally different blogs everyday. It would all the time be stimulating to learn content from different writers and apply just a little something from their store. I’d choose to make use of some with the content material on my weblog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll offer you a link on your net blog. Thanks for sharing.
