I’m tired as shit of Kanye’s look-at-me antics. And his new(ish) video clip for his song “Power” is further proof that he not only fancies himself some of king or religious figure, but that he should be pitied for all the responsibility his awesomess entails. The only problem? It’s fucking amazing. And who’s responsible for this gorgeous living painting? The guy that directed Demolition Man. I shit you not.

Director Marco Brambilla has been doing a pretty good job transitioning from weak (sorry Sly/Snipes fans), sci-fi actioners to pretty solid installation art. The video for “Power” was inspired by his piece “Civlization” about the journey from Hell to Heaven (and back again) which is also pretty amazing. It’s installed in the elevators at The Standard in New York. It scrolls once the elevator is in motion and I believe even moves up or down depending on which way you’re traveling but I’m not sure. Pretty sick though, right? See a higher res version here.
