Well, we’re almost there guys! The end of the world! Devour posted this sweet-ass end-of-days remix and the only thing I could think while watching it: Where are the Ghostbusters? The video sampling is a little on the meager side, but the music is kick ass. What are your favorite apocalypse movies? Who does it best?
Why? I don’t know. The better question is “why not?” or “what took so long?”
Side note: you ever notice how well the sounds of the dance compliment the song? Damn I love Thriller.
If you’re like me and were totally disappointed by MGMT’s second album (not to mention totally burnt out on their first album–thanks Los Angeles bar scene), then I have a band for you. I know I’ve heard their name somewhere but can’t put my finger on it.
Thanks to Devour, here’s their Photoshop-rific video for “Very Busy People”:
And their album (in MP3) is only $5 on Amazon right now (as of January 17th, 2011).

I blame my mother. She loves holidays man. Like really loves them. Decorates the house. Gets out books. Plays music. Obviously Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas is the murderer’s row of holiday cheer and she went to town. It wasn’t religious—I hardly stepped foot in a church growing up—I think she just loved making it fun for her kids. And man, was it. I could barely fall asleep Christmas Eve and would bolt out of bed the second my brother and I woke up. Not that this was unique to my family.
