Remember that time Steve Jobs was sick so someone else had to introduce the new iPhone, and it ended up being just a beefed-up processor, better camera, faster transfer speeds, and voice controls in the same old body? And everyone was butt hurt and pissed off?
That wasn’t just today. This EXACT same thing happened in 2009 when Steve Jobs let Phil Schiller introduce the follow-up to the 3G: the 3GS. And people had the exact same reactions (from engadget):
Apple held their annual WWDC conference today. As expected they didn’t have any news regarding a new iPhone, which makes me a sad panda even if I knew it was coming (or I guess not coming, as the case may be). So what did they have? The newest (and possibly last) OSX release, iOS5 details, and iCloud.
Reid Gower made this awesome tribute to NASA and I think it’s a fitting reminder that we need to dream big and sometimes spend giant, heaping amounts of money on accomplishing the ridiculous. So beautifully and eloquently written.
